Beth Cassody, PTA

Beth is a 2000 graduate from Tulsa Community College , and specializes in pediatrics. Beth has taken special courses entitled “Asperger’s and Autism Spectrum Disorders”; “Sensory Dysfunction” and “Prosthetic Advancements”. Beth provides physical therapy services in the schools on a routine basis. She has been a part of the Summit team since 2002. Her favorite hobbies are violin and gardening.

Colleen Caton, OTR/L

Colleen is a 1980 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas where she received her degree in Occupational Therapy. Colleen has been with Summit since 1999 and specializes in Industrial Rehabilitation with certification to perform ErgoScience Work Performance Evaluations. Colleen has attended AOTA National Conference in Houston and attends Hand Care in Indianapolis every two years. She enjoys scrapbooking, flower gardening and Razorback football in her spare time.

Kym Claborn, M.S., CCC – SLP, Manager of Summit Pediatric
Member: ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Assoc.)

Kym is our Speech Language Pathologist and manager for Summit Pediatric Therapies. She specializes in feeding issues of infants and children and oral motor development. Kym received her bachelor of science in 1992 from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and her masters in 1994 from the University of Oklahoma . She has received a certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association, and has taken special courses entitled: “25 Best Oral Motor Treatment Techniques for Feeding and Articulation”, “Picture Exchange Communication System”, and “Sensory Processing Assessment and Treatment”. Kym has been with Summit since 2005. Her spare time is spent chasing around her two girls!

Bryce Conly, MPT

Bryce received his degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2004. He received specialized training in the Maitland Courses, an Australian manual therapy technique. He began his career with Summit in 2007 providing physical therapy at the Claremore clinic. In his spare time, he enjoys carpentry and playing tennis.

Sean Cox, RPT and co-owner
Member: APTA, OPTA and PPS of APTA

Sean graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 1991. He is a registered physical therapist and co-owner of SUMMIT. Sean has experience in orthopedic (upper and lower extremity), sports rehab, spinal and neurological rehab and manual therapy. During his training, he spent time at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville in their Sports Medicine Program.

Sean is an active member of the Private Practice Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He continually attends educational courses to stay abreast the newest findings and techniques, most recently he has attended the following courses: “Current trends in shoulder and knee rehab” and “Work injury treatment and rehab”.

Sean is a part of the Summit Sports Medicine Outreach, helping to cover sports programs for the Claremore Zebras and Sequoyah school.

Sean is a Rotarian for the Claremore Rotary Club, Youth Sunday School teacher, Board Member for the Rogers County Youth Services, Committee member for the Zebra Sports Foundation, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Sponsor. His hobbies include golf, snow skiing and exercising, and he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.

Brent Foster, MPT, Manager of Pryor clinic

Brent is a registered physical therapist who is a 2005 graduate from the University of Oklahoma . His third year electives focused on Sports and Advanced Sports. Brent is the manager of the Pryor clinic and is active with the Summit Sports Medicine Outreach helping to cover sports programs for the Pryor Tigers. He has been with Summit since 2005. In his spare time, Brent enjoys spending time with family, working out and picking on OSU and Texas fans.

Scott has his doctorate of physical therapy from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Scott is the manager of the Catoosa Summit and has been employed with Summit since 2008.

Sean Grissett, PTA

Sean is a physical therapy assistant for the Pryor clinic and specializes in Orthopedics. He is a 1995 graduate from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and has been a part of the Summit team since 2003. He has taken special courses in "Neuromobilization" and the "Biomechanics of the ankle and foot". Sean has special interests in real estate and enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with his Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs.

Debbie McCollum, OTR/L

Debbie is a 1986 graduate from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Western Michigan University is the home of the oldest OT program in the nation. She is registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. and specializes in pediatrics. Debbie has been employed by Summit since 2003 and provides therapy in the area schools. Debbie has taken special courses in the following: “Sensory Integration Theory and Treatment Courses” and “Handwriting without Tears Workshops”. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering as a girl scout leader, snow skiing, and camping.

Anissa McGuire, RPT

Anissa is a registered physical therapist, and is the Pediatric Coordinator of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for Summit Pediatric Therapies. She is a 1991 graduate from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and specializes in pediatrics. She has recently taken courses entitled: “Asperger’s syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorders”, and “How to treat the Young Athlete”.

She and her husband are the directors for an adult sunday school class at First Baptist Church of Claremore. She enjoys exercising and participating in her kids many activities.

Bret McGuire, DPT, RPT and co-owner

Bret graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelors in Psychology in 1989 and the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 1991. He is a registered physical therapist and co-owner of Summit Physical Therapy & Rehab. Bret received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in May of 2007. Bret has also completed specialized coursework in orthopedic, neurological, sports medicine, prosthetic, aquatic, and spinal rehabilitation. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, he worked 3 years as an athletic trainer at Oklahoma State University primarily with the football, basketball and baseball teams.

Bret received special commendation from the State of Oklahoma in patient care services in 1996. In his spare time, Bret enjoys running and training for marathons and being active at First Baptist Church of Claremore.

Teresa graduated with honors from Oklahoma Health Science Center in 1986. She is a registered physical therapist providing therapy in the schools and has been employed by Summit Pediatrics since 2007. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys traveling, backpacking, reading, volunteering in student ministry at her church, and all the activities included in being a mom.

Lori is a physical therapy assistant for Summit Pediatric Therapies and specializes in pediatrics and geriatrics.  She is a 1999 graduate from Murray State and has recently taken courses on Sensory Integration and Gait Training.  Her career with Summit began in 2003. She enjoys gardening and scrapbooking in her spare time.

Rachel Purdum, ATC/LAT

Rachel is an Athletic Trainer that sees patients at the Claremore and Catoosa clinics. She started her career with SUMMIT in 2008. Rachel received her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from OSU in May of 2005. She was a member of Oklahoma State O-Club and received the Student Athlete Academic Award for three years. Rachel is specialized in Professional Rescue. Her spare time is spent with family and friends.

Allison Redick, MS, OTR/L

Allison received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan in 1991 and in 1997 received her MS, post professional degree in OT from the University of Kansas. Allison provides school-based therapy for Summit Pediatric Therapies, and has been on staff since 2005. She specializes in pediatrics and Neuro Developmental Technique. In her spare time, Allison enjoys scrapbooking, crocheting, gardening and cooking.

Wendi Schaffitzel, RPT, CHT

Wendi graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1996. She is a physical therapist who specializes in rehab of the upper extremity. She is Summit’s only certified hand therapist and began her career at Summit in October 2004. She recently attended the Philadelphia Meeting focusing on Tendon and Nerve Injuries. She is the mom of Jace and in her spare time enjoys dance classes and cooking.

Stephanie is a an licensed occupational therapist assistant providing therapy in the schools for Summit Pediatric Therapies. She started her career with Summit in 2007. She is a '06 graduate of Tulsa Community College with honors. Stephanie is registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. She has been to many workshops/courses on sensory integration/processing, autism & Asperger's, and developmental disabilities. Stephanie is a professional artist in her spare time and has taught private art classes locally. She is also an avid gardener.

Anita is a registered occupational therapist that provides therapy to children in the school setting through the services of Summit Pediatric Therapies. She is a 2000 graduate from Saint Louis University where she received her degree in occupational therapy. Anita specializes in pediatrics and is a member of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. She has been with Summit since 2005.

Anita has taken the following courses: “Sensory Defensiveness: A Comprehensive Treatment Approach”, “Level I Assistive Technology Training”, “Integrating the Mouth with Sensory and Postural Functions” and “Handwriting without Tears”. She enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, and her hobbies include playing the violin and reading mystery novels.

She then began her career with Summit after graduation. Kelly is an aerobics instructor at the Claremore Recreation Center and enjoys running marathons as well.

Chris is a physical therapy assistant for Summit's Claremore clinic. He graduated from NEO A & M in 2000, and began his career with Summit in 2006. Chris is a certified golf fitness specialist and is the assistant high school football coach for Claremore Christian School.

Steve Wilkinson, PTA

Steve is a 1998 graduate of Tulsa Community College where he received his degree as a physical therapy assistant. Steve specializes in Geriatric Rehab and provides therapy in our Claremore outpatient location, and has been a part of the Summit team since 2004.

In 2001, Steve was honored as Clinical Instructor of the Year at Tulsa Community College’s PTA program. Steve has recently taken the following courses: “Fall prevention in the Geriatric patient”, “The Neurologically impaired Geriatric Patient”, “Treatment of Cardiac Risk Patients”, and “Treatment of the Bariatric Patient”.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys fishing and the outdoors.

Natalie is a physical therapy assistant for Summit Pediatric Therapies and has been with Summit since 2003 when she graduated from Tulsa Community College. She specializes in Orthopedics, and provides therapy in the schools. Natalie is a sponsor for her church youth group and enjoys outdoor activities and exercising.
